Most countries use a percentage of biofuels in their standard fuel. This is easy to read on the fuel pump. B (biodiesel) is the letter for diesel fuel and E (ethanol) for gasoline. The number next to it represents the percentage in the fuel. 7% are common up to 8-10%.
Biodiesel ages up to four times as quickly as conventional diesel. Why? Because fuel is hygroscopic and therefore absorbs moisture. The increased moisture (water) in the fuel system increases the risk of microorganisms, bacteria and contamination. At the same time, it worsens the lubricating performance of the fuel and can lead to wear in the fuel system.
